When it comes to favourite meals, brunch is increasingly making the list. And what’s not to like? Perfectly poached eggs, soft English muffins, toasted sourdough, creamy avocado: the list goes on. Add in a few glasses of something bubbly and you can see why brunch is fast becoming the most popular way to while away the morning hours.

And it’s not just the food that’s tempting people in. The relaxed atmosphere has made it a social event, bringing friends and family together to share news alongside great coffee – or something stronger. Bottomless brunch, where unlimited Prosecco or other drinks accompany the tasty plates of food, has become an equally popular occasion, perfect as an alternative to afternoon tea, or to make a party weekend last that little bit longer.

So, it seems fitting that on National Prosecco Day, Friday 13 August, we’re hosting an exclusive bottomless brunch, with delicious breakfast options from our talented head chef served alongside unlimited Prosecco, Aperol Spritz or Rose Prosecco.

Tuck into Eggs Benedict-style maple cured ham with poached egg on an English muffin, or try a spicier take on the classic with grilled chorizo and poached eggs on sourdough, accompanied by a subtly spiced tomato relish and vibrant green pesto.

Miso-glazed salmon draws on the pan-Asian influences that can be found elsewhere on the menu, and comes served with moreish sweet potato cakes and a fried egg. Topped with a pomegranate and watercress salad, it brings sweet and savoury together perfectly, while the intriguingly-named Croissant Burger features creamy avocado and softshell crab alongside a perfectly cooked fried egg.

Vegetarians have a number of options. The classic smashed avocado and poached egg has been given an upgrade with the addition of pomegranate and feta, while crisp broccoli fritters come served with poached egg, tangy tomato salsa and soft baked ricotta cake. And vegans can enjoy fresh slices of toasted bloomer piled high with smashed avocado, mixed peppers and red onion, all drizzled with chilli jam and served with dressed watercress.

If a sweeter breakfast is more your thing, then join us to tuck into warm French toast with strawberry cream and ricotta, fluffy blueberry pancakes stacked with mascarpone lemon cheese and white chocolate or white chocolate forest waffles, smothered with coconut cream and the fresh taste of strawberry, kiwi and pomegranate.

Lakeside is perfectly placed just a few miles out of Nottingham city centre, making it easy to get to at any time of day. Choose to enjoy your brunch on our sunny waterside terrace or inside the stunning Lakeside Restaurant & Bar, with its high, vaulted ceiling and statement bar.

Served from 11am – 1pm on Friday 13 August, our Bottomless Prosecco brunch is £30pp, or upgrade to unlimited Prosecco, Aperol Spritz or Rose Prosecco for £35pp. Tables of up to eight people can be booked below.
