INTRODUCING THE FLAVOURS OF SUMMER

Lazy days and balmy nights – the long and (hopefully) hot days of summer call for lighter bites and crisp, refreshing flavours to cleanse your palate while still delivering maximum taste.


Enter our new summer menus, carefully selected to use the best locally sourced produce that’s available right now. From sweet peas and summer greens to juicy berries and crispy calamari, it’s a feast for the senses.

LONG LUNCHES

Served both inside and out, in the Lakeside Bar & Restaurant and on the sun-soaked terrace, generously-filled sandwiches sit alongside fresh salads and lighter plates including creamy burrata cheese, tiger prawns with Asian slaw and crispy chicken with the sweet heat of chilli and passionfruit.


For something more substantial tuck into pasta dishes, classic burgers or vegan ‘fish’ and chips, or go for an Asian-Pacific influence with fresh sushi or a zingy poke bowl. Choose from dishes including spicy tuna roll, crispy duck or wild mushroom roll, or combine sushi rice with crunchy spring onions and edamame beans in a poke bowl, topped with chicken katsu, seared tuna, teriyaki salmon or crispy tofu.

RELAXING EVENINGS

In the evening, as candles flicker and moonlight sparkles on the water, choose from our A la Carte menu. Created by our head chef and his team, it takes classic flavour pairings and gives them a twist, adding Asian-inspired influences and local ingredients to create mouthwatering combinations.


Take the local Colston Basset stilton parfait for example, served as a starter glazed with mango, or the crispy duck which, as well as the more traditional blackberry glaze, comes with kumquat salad and glass noodles.
The mains are equally as interesting, carefully curated to showcase the best culinary talent as well as the highest quality ingredients.

Pork chops are elevated with a black pudding crumb, cider gel and a chorizo cream sauce while the Packington chicken breast is combined with the Mediterranean flavours of pine nuts, homemade green pesto and sunblushed tomato.


Seafood features heavily, the highlight being grilled lobster tail served with Chardonnay mussels and a lobster and prawn bisque. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered for too, with dishes including a fragrant Thai green curry and wild mushroom gnocchi.

SUNDAYS ARE FOR…

When it comes to the weekend, if your Sundays are for lounging, eating or relaxing, you’re in the right place. Our special Sunday lunch menu features a number of our favourite dishes from the bar and restaurant menu, as well as traditional Sunday roasts.

Slow roast rib of beef, rolled shoulder of pork, roast chicken with stuffing and roast leg of lamb all come served with beef dripping roast potatoes, seasonal greens, sweet roasted carrots, Yorkshire pudding and rich gravy. For the ultimate home-from-home Sunday lunch, add pigs in blankets or cauliflower cheese as a side, sit back and relax.

Whether you’re catching up with relatives, meeting friends or having a meal out with the family, it’s important to us that the whole family feels comfortable. That’s why we have plenty of high chairs, our children’s menu is served daily – and for those with four-legged members of their family, dogs are welcome at the picnic benches dotted throughout the grounds.


Just a few miles out of Nottingham, we’re easily reached from the city centre and north Nottinghamshire as well as further afield. We’re in the ideal location to take advantage of the wealth of local suppliers on our doorstep – which makes us the perfect place for you to grab a taste of summer.
