Step inside the double doors to the Lakeside Bar & Restaurant and enter a world of style and sophistication. Beautifully restored to its former grandeur, the interior of the former engine house is now an eclectic mix of original features and contemporary additions which, together, deliver real wow factor.
Statement lighting suspended from the ceiling delivers on two levels, casting a soft light across the dining area and drawing the eyes upwards towards the decorative panelled ceiling.
The original pillars are a focal point of the room and having been stripped back and fully restored, now make a dramatic statement in black and white. Brass-edged tables twinkle in the light, while black velvet chairs add a different texture to soften the look.
The original arched windows have been retained and their stained-glass edging catches the light that streams in.
Our fine dining mezzanine sits towards the back of the room, where the original brick wall adds texture and warmth.
In this intimate space a handful of tables overlook the room, with the same elegant black and gold styling as the main restaurant and bar.
A vision of polished brass and glass, the bar’s art-deco styling makes it a standout feature. Surrounded by vintage-style black and white floor tiles, which complement the black and white pillars perfectly, it harks back to a time of opulence and glamour. Comfortable bar stools invite you to take a seat and linger over chilled cocktails and tasty bar snacks.
From the herringbone-patterned parquet floor to the gold detailing on the walls, when it comes to interior design, no detail has been missed. Join us for lunch or dinner, seven days a week, and discover the new look Lakeside for yourself.
